Hybrid Side Event to Commemorate the 22nd Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325

Since its launch in July 2021 during the Generation Equality Forum, the Compact on Women, Peace and Security and Humanitarian Action (WPS-HA Compact) has galvanized support as a multi-stakeholder, intergenerational movement for accelerated and transformative action on women, peace and security and gender-responsive humanitarian action, with more than 180 Signatories. Together with incoming WPS-HA Compact Board Co-Chairs, Norway and the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), WPS-HA Compact Signatories will gather on October 21, 2022 alongside potential Signatories and WPS practitioners from around the globe to:

Discuss the bold and transformative action that is needed to address current challenges faced by women and girls in conflict and crisis situations across the globe.
Launch the Compact Monitoring Framework (CMF) indicators, jointly developed with Compact Board and Catalytic members and Signatories.
Introduce the CMF self-reporting portal, which will inform the Compact’s first accountability report in 2023.
